Nandurbar district is adivasi district in the state of Maharashtra. Akrani taluka is situated in the four and fifth range of Satpuda .This taluka is an arduous tatluka in the past when there were many problems honourable Maharaj J. P Valvi took birth in this taluka and changed this area completely. He resigned his service and took an oath from Nanasaheb Thakkar and Thakkar Bappa to serve his society. Education is more important. There is no way without Education so he established Adivasi Satpuda Shikshan Prasarak Mandal Dhadgaon in 1964. Honourable Babasaheb EX.MLA, Adivasi sevak ,Dalitmitra has taken the charge of this institution. Our College was started in 1993 on non-granted basis; there were 100% adivasi student in our college. The development of such student is our aim. From July 1993 to 1996 there were 441 books and two cupboards in the college library. The books were of the cost 24 112 rupees. Our college has done accreditation in the year 2005 and got c++ grade from NAAC. It is the first college which is accredited at Akrani tehsil level in the Maharashtra state. We are now going for NAAC second cycle of accreditation. The library is centrally located in the campus which covers the20-30 area of square feet. Construction of library is well ventilated with adequate facilities. The college library is one of the richest libraries in the area having 11451 books including reference books encyclopaedia etc on various subjects. The library is attached with a reading room having the sitting capacity of around 45 students in library. It also provides a reference sections along with independent sitting arrangement for boys and girls. There is also separate reading room for teachers the reference section which includes a number of books periodicals which helps the teachers and regular students. There is open access system for the teachers and students in the central library. Library is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on all working days.
