Adiwasi Satpuda Shikshan Prasaranak Mandal was established in 1964. The former President, Honb’ble Janardan Poharya Valvi was the first MLA of Akrani constituency. He worked with many social workers. He was born at Mundalawad, Akrani Tehsil. He himself belonged the schedule tribes community. He himself had observed the social, economical, political, and educational conditions of community to which he himself belonged. He decided to devote himself for the educational and social reformations in the society. He founded the Adiwasi Satpuda Shikshan Prasarak Mandal in 1964.He worked night and days for the uplift of the society. The trust has now a days 29 branches which includes primary schools, ashram schools, secondary schools, hostels, junior colleges. Now, It has grown into a big banyan tree. It has the branches in Shahaha, Akkalkuawa, and Dhadgaon Tehsil of Nandurbar district which has been recognized as the purely the district of tribal (Adiwasi) . Hon’ble Janardan Valvi who had been awarded as The Dalit Mitra , Adiwasi Sevak , and Maharaj Baba of the Akarani Tehsil. He had a vision of making at least one graduate from each hamlet. He thought to start senior college to fulfill his dream.

The Senior College was sanctioned by the Government of Maharashtra in the academic year 1992-93. He was also dreamt to provide the facility of higher education in the science and commerce disciplines. With a great efforts science and commerce faculties were sanctioned by the Government of Maharastra. The senior college which has been named after him as ‘ Maharaj Janardan Poharya Arts, Commerce And Shri. Vishnu Krishna Science College’ is running smoothly and successfully. It has achieved a great success in fulfilling the dreams of Maharaj Baba. It has also started P.G. course in Marathi subject. It has well qualified teaching staff. There are many M. Phil. and Ph.D. degree holders and Ph.D. research guides. Many Adiwasi students have achieved a great success in competitive examination and played a major role in community development and nation building.
At present I, Hemant Bhika Valvi , the President of the trust really appreciate the work culture of the staff and the efforts of fulfilling the dreams of the founder President, Late Maharaj Janardan Baba.
